Help needed to remove a tiny E-clip

Just in case anyone local to me (Richmond/Nelson/etc) has a tiny E-clip remover tool.
I tried the idea of gently pushing on the jaws of the clip to push it backwards enough to allow me to pick it off from the back.
All I've done so far is is added a few tiny scratches to the metalwork.
The wee pin is only about 2.5mm diameter, and it's in a sod of a place.
When I get the circlip off I'll biff it. I can find a far easier way to retain the pin than a stupid dinky circlip.
    Bright ideas?
Anyone have a tiny E-clip remover? I'm thinking maybe a R/C car or plane man might have one in his tool kit.
    Thanks.

Normally just a flat blade screw driver does it. The clips not going to fuk off somewhere inside the rifle when you pop it off is it?

Rotate the clip until the open end is facing down

Then lever it up with a small flat blade screwdriver

Pay attention to where it lands, if it lands

Wear safety glasses. If it disappears and you decide to still use that method of retaining they are available. I sourced a very tiny one for my Savage Hornet.

Do it inside a clear plastic bag and that should catch it

Nah, all good. I won't replace it.
Just a dab of silicone will hold the pin in place, or a drop of glue.
Then I can just gently lever the pin out when I need too (cleaning, adjusting, lubing).

Small flatblade screwdriver will do it. Just push it gently against the jaw, until the clip rotates to when you can see the side of the clip opposite the jaw.

Place screwdriver blade between the pin and clip, then rotate slowly so it lifts the clip away from the pin.

Some of them will have cut outs in them as well you can rotate the clip and get it off with a little hook

If you don't want to scratch anything, get a bit of copper, aluminium, brass or even lead. Cut into a little 2 prong fork with the pin diameter in center and push it off. Do in a bag as suggested or what I need, a white room with slopped floor to a catch sump

Or a stiff plastic, or maybe a wood fork handle from the takeaway place. It just needs to start moving and then it will flick off into some other dimension - the plastic bag idea is good (I've only ever had one go through the plastic, and that didn't get very far before it ran out of go). It does look like an annoying little place though, not really designed to come off regularly?

It's meant to be easy so that you can change the cocking lever to RH or LH use.
I'm trying later with a light strand of wire around each pointy bit and just giving it a heave.
Yeah, prick of a place...but designed/made in Germany and those folks are just not wired the same as us Kiwis.

    Yay...I won!
Got the little sod. Managed to get the tip of an X-Acto pointed blade down into the tiny recess at the back of the clip.
One quick shove and the clip was out.
Have tossed the clip and put a drop of the wife's nail polish on the head of the pin to hold it in.
If it needs more than that it will be Tarzan's Grip glue, or Loctite next time.
But man...that is one tiny little circlip.
