That 243 is quite attractive

Of those the Leupold VX-2 is well known.

If the Minox is German as stamped it could be good.see how it looks to you to look through it and focus it. Maybe the loose ring uses an O ring for resistance.
Sometimes you can get a good scope cleaned, devices and gassed . If the glass is good it's maybe worth it. If you like the glass and scope.

You probably made the right choice with the Leupold, a reliable lightweight hunting scope of that's the purpose.

Japanese manufacture Tasco were good budget scopes.

Nikon are an Optics company . I have used a Nikon Pro Staff scope.
For freebies they all sound good. Others may get know more specific info.
