That would have to be the only time I have ever heard anyone say a hardy is more effective than a dpt. Have had two tikka 223's lined up beside each other shooting gongs, one wearing a dpt and the other a hardy and the dpt was noticeably quieter.
I have only owned gunworks and dpt suppresors and found both to function equally as good but the dpt is lighter and shorter, allthough I think the gunworks was probably designed to last a bit longer, the trade off for this was that you can easily just replace a shot out baffle on a dpt but a gunworks needs to go back to them to have baffles repaired or replaced.
