Yeah I don't think I would get one anymore with the comments I've seen about Hardy's customer service and QC.

There are some good options available, @camo wsm brings in Manners stocks and Rivers to Ranges are the importers for AG Composites, the ones Bergara uses on their premier series.

Both seem to be well regarded from what I've seen.

Hopefully the well-known NZ company actually making these stocks now won't be just supplying Hardy's

Thought I’d share my recent experience as I’ve just bought a hi-tec for my sako 85 223. I had considerable trouble getting any traction with placing an order (4 or so phone conversations with hitec over around 6 weeks) with being told they were struggling to deal with demand. Eventually Sam from GRC stepped in (I believe he was helping with fb comms) and helped facilitate the build and sale. Sam was great and certainly helped get me over the line. I had a minor issue with barrel clearance (very little) and Sam has again stepped in and is sorting it out. I’m hopefully getting it back tomorrow.

I don’t know Sam other than through this and having a yarn with him at the sika show. Certainly great customer service from my dealings with Sam & GRC.

Making it hard to buy stuff isn't a great business model.....

I think having the owner die is a pretty good excuse especially when it seems the company would have been in the midst of being sold post Ken's passing. I'm surprised by how little wiggle room a literal death is giving Hitech. I dealt with Ken for 3 stocks and hassled him on making stocks for not as common models and he was always pretty good sometimes he might be busy but I'd get him eventually.

Its almost like they dont want your money aye.

And they wonder why no one wants to deal with them when you treat people badly.

@Ryan_Songhurst Ryan I'd heard some accounts along those lines, didn't realise he was that well known for it.

I thought i would email glacier and ask who makes there stocks. The reply was.

“All of our stocks are manufactured by Glacier Rifle Company in house, we have a 12month standard manufacturing warranty for all of our stocks for Tikka Howa Sako and Remington hunter stocks. Thanks Sam”
