They will all do well for hunting but kinda depends on what sort of matches you plain to shoot. 6.5 55 will do most comps ok. but 260 or creed would be better. 243 will do well out to 700-800. big swing towards 6mmcreed 6xc etc. even down in the south island where we tend to shoot longer distance matches.

The grendel is as about as trendy as I'll go. Love my old school calibers. If I do drop a couple of rifles I'll look into a 7x57 and that should do me

I've heard tikkas can be a bit hit and miss re chambering work and knowing my luck mine would be in the miss category plus I'm happy with it the way it is. I guess this hospital stay is getting me thinking more along the lines of if I get rid of the 243 and 223 what would I get. Cant really be bothered with anything super wierd like wsms saaums etc.

338 lap mag - one round to rule them all .... or was that ring, I forget...

And he doesn't need a 270 @Ryan_Songhurst... sounds like he's already got a bunny gun.

Well I guess a 45/70 in a traditional looking lever could fit in with the collection never really dabbled with anything bigger than 3006

So you’re gonna get rid of two of your best cartridges but you’re keeping three 6.5s? You’re crazy mate!

I've actually got 5 6.5s altogether. 223 only shoots 45gr any good plus it just does nothing for me. Should of kept my 222 everyone has one of those rifles. Plus it's quite likely I like different rifles to the next guy...
