THE best product for removing tape residue - even old dried up tape residue - is Eucalyptus Oil. Because it's not like other distilled petroleum products it's safe to use on plastics and perspex (like your boats windscreen for example) and naturally it doesn't affect the finish on your scopes, etc. I use a paper towel with a dab of oil then soak/massage gently.
Too true. A friend of mine used it regularly, to remove old price labels from merchandise, especially dust jackets of books.

I used painters hand wipes, worked a treat & came up clean & dandy. Funny as when @BRADS rubs long black things he normally ends up getting a facial hahahaha
    BRADS likes this.
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

Good to hear you received the scope.
Sorry about the tape, but neoprene covers piss me off and that was fitted on a hunting rifle.

They work bloody great and one small wipe will remove a lot of sticky crap

    Bloody hilarious.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
