A much better test than any group, if you're interested in the practical accuracy of your rifle, is to go shoot single shots at single targets, breaking position between shots, to determine consistency of your shooting.

I don't fire a 4th shot because I'm a Jew when it comes to ammo
VIVA LA HOWA
As above, I dont shoot groups for the sake of shooting groups, mostly its to zero or rezero if I already have a load I am happy with.
But groups give valuable information to the hunter, for instance if your butchered sporterised open sighted 303 will only shoot 10" groups at 100y then probably 75y is your max practicable range.

So lets say you get a new or second hand rifle whack a scope on it grap the cheapest(or most expensive) ammo in the shop and go shoot at a target of x size at x range- you cant hit it or only hit it occasionally. what now? is it the rifle, is it the ammo, is it you, is your scope out, is your velocity out, is your bc out?
Better go shoot some groups and sort it out

I've never shot a group, they just don't interest me.

I like the smack of my .17 exploding mynas way better than paper but need a little of both to test its going where pointed other than that I shoot badly at non reactive targets as they don't hold my pee brain attention very long at all. W e re all different eh !

Since I've been shooting ( got my firearms licence in 1988 ) I have seen the acceptable level of accuracy shrink from 1.5 moa to about 1 moa .
When I say acceptable level of accuracy I mean a level that the writers for gun magazines believe is now the necessary standard and the universal galactic mythical unit of satisfaction .
I personally find a hunting rifle that puts it's first cold, clean barrel shot within the group of subsequent shots as a more valuable asset than one that shoots groups that are half an inch smaller at 100 yrds but who's first few shot's are not recorded because they are fouling shots and are half an inch left and 1 inch lower .
