    How old is my rifle?

My Sako 22 stock has a tapered fore-end and does not have a cheekpiece.
It HAD open sights but somebody ’bubba’d the rear sight boss off with a gas cutter(!).

It’s a P54 model and serial number starts with 361**.

I’ve owned it for 35+ years and it’s a great shooter, I parked up the original 5-shot mag and fitted a Slazenger 10 shot item and it has a 4x40 Gold Crown.

Anybody any idea of it’s likely age?

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

@madjon_ - thanks, I always thought it was a 50’s rifle what with the style of the stock.

Ah well, 1971 or 1970 looks likely, was probably an expensive 22 in its time.
