How to submit Import Permit Application form (POL67B)?

Might be a stupid question but is the only way to submit these forms in person at the police station? Doesn't say on the form and their website is (most likely intentionally) lacking any direction. There is an email address on the website but it says it's for queries not actually submitting the form.

    Thanks

Curious. The Dragon at the Police counter here in Wanganui without an H, first of all said that she had never seen "this form" before !
I explained that I had downloaded it from Plod's website., only partly mollified.....she then insisted on seeing my FAL and ran it through the photocopy.

The ways of Plod and his minions are both strange and unpredictable.

Hi Guys there's a second half of the transaction to this... when Customs have your stuff and are holding it as the Police supporting info is useless to tell you what to do next.

You will get a notification from either Customs or your freight agency i.e NZPOST FEDEX etc. that customs are holding the item.
You can either send your paperwork to them - but they may charge you for this additional service or you can do it yourself by turning up with the paperwork original plus ID at one of their service centres - e.g Anzac St in Auckland and any paperwork - consignment / tracking information.

In my case it was a warranty replacement and I had to take a copy of the paperwork including the email trail I had that this was being replaced under warranty - I guess with the new GST grab going on they need to verify that nil value is correct and bona fide.
If you do it through shipping agent or delivery such as Fed EX you may be scanning and sending them this paperwork to get Customs to release the goods.

This is based on my experience only, so not sure if this deviates from what others have endured thus far in this new regime.

Hope this helps anyone out there.
