    Tighten them as hard as possible, hang off the hex key until the head strips or you strip the thread.

    Seriously, if you dont have a torquing tool then just use common sense. Snugged up firmly is good, useing loctight and doing up firmly is better. If you cant differenciate between firm and overtight you deserve to fuck your gear.

    Apparantly nail polish is good as a loctite on the screw threads as well.
    Bright pink still isn't acceptable though keen fella
