    Stocky’s Carbon Fibre .

I wasn’t as lucky as you in the sense that only the Fiocchi ammo shoots that good , most other Factory ammo hovers around the 1 inch - 1 1/2 inch range .
Don’t know what it is about the Fiocchi, but it just sings in this rifle.

I also have another Howa .223 , well kind of it’s a CMC Mountaineer made by Howa ( just a different name stamped on it )
This one is nearly shot out and it only shoots about 1 Inch with the Fiocchi .
I’ve got a new Howa .223 barreled action coming for it , then this old girl will get retired .

My mini action in 204 ruger is my favourite rifle, shoots better than my tikkas and brownings at half the price. Great quality at a price that allows you to buy more

I had quite a nice little Howa Alpine in .308, sold it to some farmer down south, the thing loved 165 Targex, should have kept it, wonder if he is tired of it and might give it back........ @LMcNab

Massive fan of howa have been for many years I believe that they are as good as anything tikka or sako can offer for a 900 price point instead of a $1700-3k one
The hact trigger is awesome and can easily be taken down to a crisp 1.5lb
And with a bit of careful handloading and maybe glass bedding capable of sub half moa accuracy more often than not
Infact I’ve only seen one that didn’t shoot really early in my shooting days
Looking back it just needed bedding but you don’t know what you don’t know

Ive ether owned or handloaded for maybe 20 howa’s now with all bar the one above Easily meating howa’s 1moa Guarantee with the Majority being capable of Repetitive half moa or better groups

They don't make a left hander, or I'd have been using them ages ago.

As previously mentioned, an improved Sako/M70 hybrid

Yes; I like the stock. Using a GRS bipod and a squeeze bean sock at the rear. Maybe if there's a next step I might look at their chassis type stock which allows the bipod to mount over rather than under on the spigot. Modified the hact trigger from 2 1/2 lbs down to 1-3/4 lbs too, since that group but have 'nt shot with the new trigger setting yet. Take away my elderly wobbles and I think the rifle would consistently shoot sub 1/2 moa at least out to 600 with 308 win; maybe further.

    I have 2 Howa's;

Stainless 308 Varminter Supreme w Boyds Pepper Thumbhole stock - added Timney ( pre HACT trigger days) DPT Suppressed
Blued .223 Short action with standard rubber stock ( Boyds on order) - trigger springs exchanged for lighter units... DPT Suppressed

    Photos to come of both

They group well finally after some investment in time, trial and error...
