Just trying to be a good bugger, I have a "few" and he is just getting started and has a wife and small child at home so to give him time to save up....
I think I'm going to give him a sported 303

My uncle has basically the same kimber set up as everyone is talking about. montana 308 cut right back and had a hardy suppressor on the end with a swarovski scope on top and talley rings. Great little rifle that he uses in the bush all the time. I have shot inch groups at 100 using factory federal blue box ammo. He has some hand loads and is shooting half inch.
Ok, sounds like a kimber shoots plenty well for what I'm after (1-200m) And I even have had two pm's from people who have them for sale.
Probably going to go with a odi can as of all the cans I own there's seem by far the best-no matter how you decide what is best, other than cost!
I do really like the forbs rifle tho, and considering that I'm going to get it cut to just over min legal length can anyone justify or debunk the extra $$$ over a kimba?
ESP if I'm happy to let a gunsmith go to town on it to take our any extra heft
I do like the idea of a blazer, strait pull rules(I love my Swiss milserps) but the cost and weight is a concern

perfect then! I mean, who *doesn't* have a spare Elcan lying around
More details in the first post, Scope, dies, etc…

Well, to be clear I have practically the same rifle with a acog not a elcan but I do have the elcan waiting on a 20" upper lol
But I do want a bigger pill at more speed than a ar15 platform can do and my ar10 is way to heavy for what I have in mind-and that's before I get started on all the shot to snag in heavy bush.
Yea I'm a AR fan boy but this is not me trying to justify yet another AR

Hahaha FYM was wondering how long before someone mentioned a T3
Kimbers are'nt bad, apart from their high bolt lift good safty though, I like my Weatherby ultra light but it ain't short & can't be cut so that rules it out
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!
