IF it helps - I am coming back end of June ex UK direct to Christchurch via Dubai and Sydney on Emirates. You do the research and I am happy to act as a courier for you. My payment - you do the research, I do the courier and if achievable I may do it for myself.

Thanks for that mate, appreciate it, will let you know how I get on. On speaking with Police today it shouldn't be too much of a hassle as many have stated however it will be expensive.

I was recommended to contact local gun stores and see if they can act as receivers for me.

A possible option is Greg Hannon, the guy who used to import Barnes Bullets into NZ. Based in Auckland. He occasionally imports firearms from the UK and if he has a pending shipment might be able to include yours ... ?
I have not dealt with him in this capacity but just offer the suggestion in case it helps. Wouldn't hurt to ask him.

Probably double check that you won’t have issues flying through Sydney with your rifles. I am not sure if they still unload the plane and make you scan all your luggage again or not through security as they used to in the past.
