Thread: Inherited these

Received a very welcome phone call the other day from the old boy (Granddad).

His firearms license came up for renewal and he decided not to renew....which in turn, being the favourite grandson , means I have the privilege of inheriting his 1960s Baikal Under-over 12g and Winchester .22 (model 67 I believe)

I have been "borrowing" the .22 for a while and even though it's a single shot, it has a fairly long barrel and is the most accurate and effective .22 I've ever fired. Even with a shitty 4x32 scope I regularly drop bunnies with ease out to 150+. It would have been responsible for reducing the rabbit population in Canterbury by about 250 in the last 6 months.

In all seriousness though I feel extremely privileged to receive these and getting the firearms from the man who taught me how to shoot holds great significance for me. Not that you're computer literate enough to read this but thanks old boy, means the world - they're in good hands.
