From memory the Mauser 201 and Voere 2000 were both chambered in 22 WMR as well as 22 LR which may explain the longer bolt throw length.
Can I? Yes, easily. Do I? Not generally, because this particular rifle gets used for position shooting practice with a slow rate of fire.
I haven't handled the magnum version, but photos show the same action length. Bolt travel on my .22lr is 12mm after the point the ejector blade passes the bolt face, which would be enough extra to accommodate the magnum case.
What you're not accounting for is that the front of the magazine is still just behind the breech face and actually ahead of the locking lug abutments. Which makes it about the same bolt throw as any other rimfire magnum action.
Here’s one
Norinco jw11 (jw15 actioned heavy barrel )
Only made one year (1981)
Apparently they are quite rare sadly I didn’t know that now it looks like this (14 inch)
it wasn’t in good condition wood wise
Had to do a few mods to solid it up for use
It’s very accurate
No worries, it's certainly not what I would consider an 'intuitive' design. Some ingenious features, but not perfect.
Great thread. I started out with an old Stirling bolt
action and moved on a CZ Luxe, traded into a very fine 94/22 which wont be going anywhere. Lever actions rimfires are excellent fun and my passion. Like having a practice rifle for my 94 3030. Need a skinner rimfire site if anyone has one gathering dust?
I also run old Marlin 60 modified to meet the times. I really like this old shooter alot. My young fulla is starting out on JW15, shorted to 16 with a bit of expert advice from you Mudgrips and help from good bugger on the forum here. I have my sights set on lithgow LA101.at some stage. Lol.
I am enjoying the post, some interesting .22s.
Has anyone been playing or has the newer CZ 512 Tactical in 22Lr or mag.
Would like to know the performance good or bad.

Very nice Muzza - surprised the thumb triggers still being made that late (1914) but I know little about them.
Gadgetman and I range testing a little Marlin stainless heavy barrel 22WMR last week. Amazed at the accuracy of this basic rifle with the Hornady V-Max 30gr ballistic tip ammo. Groups down to 0.3" and even a tad less at 50m - bloody good for an old magnum. Rifle's better than me these days... Wears a Tasco 4-16 which is doing the rimfire job well - as they generally do. A good value unit at just $500 all up scoped:
Izhmash Bi 7-2KO Biathlon rifle. Straight pull now wearing a 6-24 FC targetmaster scope...Not the one made of chinesium that is pictured...
Also looking after one of these for a while...Though I dont appear to have a photo of it yet...(Maybe next few days.. Marlin Model 56 similar to the 57 but with a box magazine that 'look' very much like a normal Marlin magazine but with enough differences that a new one will not fit....
I like this thread and I like shooting.22RFs. However I really like accurate .22 LR rifles.
It’s taken some time and a few false starts but now have a few good and some interesting rifles.
From the top a new to me Anschutz 1710 silhouette, M78 Sako Finnfire, 1958 Brno model 2.
Centre cz 452 American , BSA sportsman 15 for open sighted plinking.
My first rifle was purchased just on 50 years ago from Cromb & Merrit in Christchurch. It was a TOZ 17 .22LR with open sights (which could be adjusted up to 300yds!!)
I had the barrel threaded to fit a can and also forked out for a 4 x 32 scope - It cost a few bucks back then.
I still have it and it still shoots true.
The heavy barrel is the key. I understood that it was originally used by the Russian Army for use by the young recruits - so was designed to take the knocks.
To check out the accuracy of the open sights I ended up shooting pipi shells hung on a stick at 100yards.
With the suppressor fitted and using subsonic ammo all you could hear was the bolt closing when the trigger was pulled.
An awful lot of bunnies in the SI high country didn't make it home.
It has always been an issue getting spare or replacement magazines [5 round] for this model for some reason.
When they are available - they are hellishly expensive for what they are so have stuck with the original and learnt how to reload fast.

A fair bit of doc in that pasture TH. You need to showcase your sweet spots!
Just wanted to revive this older thread for people who like the rimfires. I think Muzza has just bought a couple and will post some info soon.
Any pics, comments on your 22s/WMR/17s - new or old is welcome. Always interesting
Some really good info in these pages - well worth a read. And there's alot more pics/comments you can all add on classic rifles, unusual 22s, super modded Rugers, modern PRS rifles etc that it would be great to hear about.
Cheers Mike
