Do you really need that though? I mean he said multiple times "I can't really even see what I'm shooting" you need a clear line of sight to identify the target and that same clear line of sight you shoot through.
Also hunting with this guy would be like hunting with Dick Cheney.
yep I think he was kinda going worst case for sure but what it proves is brush will deflect ammo so if your 308 etc clips a branch on the way through it could deflect even if you could see your target clearly but just happened to clip some stuff on the way through
Watched that last week.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
17 minutes, piss off. Tell me the gist of it.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
@RUSTY big slow bullet beats small fast bullet
shooting 50m with 15 yards of brush in the middle (extremely thick brush more than a responsible hunter would plan to shoot through I would think)
the idea being to see what affect it has on accuracy and see if your bullet would likely deflect wounding game or missing all together
the tested rifle rounds 22lr,223,308 had quite major defections id say any high velocity round would do the same
when he swiched to lower velocity rounds with big flat head bullets such a the tested 35rem,444marlin,45-70,577 snider (black powder)
the rounds punched through a lot cleaner and maintained enough accuracy for a clean kill

Oh and I have a 416 Taylor as well. Almost forgot about that one.
Interesting but for scrub i prefer to use a chainsaw and save the bullets for things i can see clearly.
