Yeah. Of course real world loads aren't always max possible. One guy might run a .308 at very high pressures with a 208 and a long barrel and have better ballistics than a mildly loaded short barrel 6.5. Cartridge arguments are quite silly

We dont have the membership of capable/competent/knowledgeable people to warrent it? I am sure we do...

However it would most likely result in a tiny penis waving competion of some sort as it always does so maybe a good call.....maybe?

All tho it could be good if actually moderated?...... Information in one place instead of joining/surfing multiple forums.

None of the admin team have time or inclination to actively moderate. Forums with too many subforums are dreadful to browse and you end up with a million sub forums that each get 3 posts a year, see for reference: the volunteer sub forum here.

10% as many as in the normal firearms section, and it's been around about as long - and we already have a "shooting" subforum which encompasses Long Range, really

E: okay it's been there a bit shorter time than the firearms section but the point remains. It's not especially active, although FnH isn't especially active in the technical forums anyway it seems

Interesting how things wander when a calibre is mentioned, if it kills your intended game humanly and is used within a realistic range for that calibre then who gives a fuck, the whole mine is better than yours argument is void when any of them will put meat on the table in competent hands.

Back on the topic of your rifle.....I was quite surprised with the accuracy that you got with it. I say that as a mate of mine brought a new one in .280 AI and it has never really shot that well. I have heard that the Kimbers can be a bit hit and miss at times.

Truth be told I was a little surprised myself, I have not had the chance to shoot again since then so am keen to get to a range, living on Waiheke Island it's not such an easy task finding a place to shoot for practice, never had that problem living in the Wairarapa Im about to get rid of my leupold rings for a set of nightforce light weight ones so will need to re zero... If my rifle shot poorly I'd just get it re barrelled or send it back ! Over all I am super happy with it so far.

And at 2600+ I'm glad it shoots well !!!
