Leica Geovid 3200.com vs Swarovski EL TA

    Hi All

Currently have a pair of Leica Geovid HDR 10x42 and am seriously considering upgrading to the newer model but have not been able to test them properly in the field. Has anyone used both and have any thoughts on them?

Like the sound of the new tracking assist in the Swaro's and think it would be amazing in some of the country I hunt, the extras you can get for them make it very tempting but still like the feel of the Leica's and the glass. Obviously they are fairly similar so any help would be appreciated.

I have the sigsauer bdx 3000 binos which I really rate with my kestrel.
I am seriously looking at the 10k model but none in the country yet.
They have the base map function as well for putting in way points.
Good value for money and nothing wrong with the glass on my 3000 bdx for what I am doing.
You can pay a lot more for a bit better glass that you can barely discern the difference to the average jo blow

It totally depends on what you want to achieve.
The only binocular that can quickly give you true long distance elevation holds paired with the kestrel are the sigs as the kestrel has a calibrated compass with latitude put in so can do coriolis accurately and AJ as well.
It will give you the wind hold for where you are shooting from which combined with observing what's happening further out can give you spot on calls.
So what is important to me.
The ability to get out to 4.5k with solutions.
The ability to have the kestrel give me accurate data for environment.
The kestrel able to use the applied ballistics CDM's with up to 30 profiles.
    What I don't need.
The best glass money can buy.
In saying that I wasn't disappointed in the glass of the Sig
