That range finder has definitely seen better days. Hope all goes well getting the replacement.

The replacement has been in Auckland for about 10 days now, so Leupold sent it very quickly.
I'm getting stung for GST, as the original even though it's been proven to be destroyed, is still on NZ soil. Customs are not happy for me to send it to them - they just want the money.

So long story short, find out how little of the item you need to send to Leupold to meet the "I sent it back to them" requirement, before getting the new one sent.

Well my old Leupold Windriver Pinnacles were replaced with BX-4 Pro Guide HD's!!! All I had to pay paid was the international freight fee, took less than two months for it to be done too. Appear to be a MUCH better pair of binos than the old pair, so I'm really happy.
