Thanks for the review synthetic. My M8 3x is a little cracker. Not quite as on point as the khales or bushy in low light but still crisp given its age. Robust little unit with decent eye relief.

This is my favorite fixed 6 scope and it works great sitting on my Belgium Browning .308. Meopta's MeoPro 6x42. Amazing light gathering and European glass quality. As soon as I saw this scope I knew where it was going to live, I couldn't be happier.
Ive got an older Vx 3-9-40 in high gloss. Its not as clear /sharp as my newer ones. I hit the buy now on trademe because I wanted an older style scope that suited the age of my Parker hale. Looks mint , as close to the “period” I could find. Shoots good .I think if I put a new fandangled scope on the old gun it just wouldnt seem right. Also got a vx11 2-7 .Its a nice wee scope . I had it on my 3030 but its not as clear / sharp as new scopes .
Greetings All,
I have a FX2 6 x 36 Leupold with the long range duplex reticle mounted on my 6.5 x 55 Tikka T3. The FX3 6 x 42 was also considered but discounted due to the extra cost and weight. It is excellent in all respects. It was a post retirement present to myself and I wish I had had it 20 years ago or better still 40 years ago. I have had variables on some of my hunting (now flatter forest wandering) rifles but found I left them on 6 power most of the time hence the choice. Leupold still offers a range of fixed power scopes and long may this continue.
Regards Grandpamac.
