Thread: Leupold Mark 5 HD 5-25 and 7-35

Anyone had much of a play with these now that they have been out a while? Thinking of getting one for my field shooting/ long range steel gun and wondered how they compare to other scopes in the same price bracket. Leaning more towards the 7-35 model...

I have 7-35 illuminated but used both illuminated and non (reticle is different on illuminated and is thicker. Personally the extra magnification i dont use very often.
Even out to mile i still use 12- power.
A leica prs has better resolution but over all leupold is nice. I would buy another in 5-25

My mate has the 5-25 T3 reticle in Aus and shoots to 2km + with it on his 300 Norma Mag.

He rates the glass and tracking. He has tall target tested it and it tracks 100%.

I'm seriously considering the 7-35

Imeat i would buy another dont know where the word "never" appeared from. Bloody phone!!
All the mk5s i have usedhave tmr reticles. Simple but work
But reticles are always personl preference

Thanks for the Replies gents, just need to track one down to have a look through now! Unfortunately can't make the sika show with a wedding on the same weekend. Liking the look of that PR-2 reticle though, not too busy but still plenty of holdover points
