    Looks nice.
Is this a different model to the ZL?

I don't intend shooting animals outside of 400 yrds so it horses for courses.
The Z5 I had had ample as a hunting scope.

The Z5 on my 7mm gets me to 700yards more than enough for me on animals these days.

It's also Moa only and SFP, and costs more than a Pm2. Aimed at old people I guess

My objection to the swaro z5 turret is that it's made of a bunch of tiny fiddly bits of plastic, seems a pain in the arse to set zero (watched someone do it the other day), hasn't got markings the complete turn between the little coloured things so you have to count clicks, and has very limited elevation in one turn if you use the zero stop. Sure you can take the zero stop off but no revolution indicators and then you have the problem described above

E; wow pm2s have gone up in price huh

I like those but Purchase Cost + only 10 year warrenty is not as good as Luppy cost + "what ever you have done to it we will fix it" warrenty even if the Leupolds glass is not as good.

    Leupold VX6 - New Options

True Mikee but if I haven't worn out/sold/got sick of this scope in 10 years then I'll deal with that
I've had enough of both two no what I prefer.
Nothing wrong with either, like a lot of things your personal choice will always be best.

Do you have a VX6 Brads? I thought you did.
Would like to know how the HD5 compares to the VX6.

Yes. The HD5 is ahead in glass imo
The turrets on HD5 let it down a bit as they are big compared to the cds on the VX6, but windage turret is adjustable on HD5.
Have a play with both pick what you prefer.

How are the turrets on the VX6, do they feel good amd track correctly?
How are the Ziess reticles? Are they useful or would a fine duplex or TMOA be more useful?

I just had a play with both in the shop and I prefer the Zeiss. The turrets that come with it are only a few mils higher than the VX6 so no hassle there, but they were precise audible clicks, where the VX6 you really had to concentrate to work out if it was a click or not! Plus in my opinion the glass on the Zeiss seemed clearer and brighter. And it was cheaper as well. Apparently Leupold have a lot better warranty though. Another factor was the reticles. The Zeiss had a good classic duplex reticle where I think the Leupold crosshair was just to fine IMO.
