What special thing would the optometrist do for your shooting?

If your right eye is good for distance whats wrong with using a scope? (that is focussed for your eye properly)

Or do you mean open sights shooting?

I have a set of glasses that correct my vision so that it makes it as if my right eye is short sighted and my left eye long sighted. I have another set of glasses that does the exact opposite. (eyes change over time when you get old.) I use one for shooting with a scope and the other for shooting with open sights.

But I can shoot a scope with either of them if I want, though might adjust the focus on the scope eyepiece slightly between them.

Anyway, whatever you do, stay well away from Spec savers. Just a rip off from start to finish.
