as has been said, fit is king so try and have a play with whatever you get. there was a time i shot 100+ bunnys from a truck every week and I thought I was getting hot shiy with the shotgun but once someone fitted me my avarage rounds per kill dropped.maybe even more important with a semi as the follow up shots can be so fast so natral pointing helps them out even more than the first round imho.

my vote would be to look for a second hand versamax, I bought the "tactical"(damn I hate that word) 22" verson for 3gun I liked it so much I ended up selling my benali bird gun to buy a second full length cammo versamax secondhand

Go with a Benelli if you can find a second hand one that's in good nick.
But I tried out one of these the other day and we'll year near YEAR
    Akkar® Triple Crown

    Bloody awesome fun!
I'd get it in 20bore though

My versamax had been fine I was prepared to spend up to 4000 when I went shopping for one the Remington fitted and pointed the best and was one of the cheaper ones as well

+1 for Fabarm XLS Never any feeding issues unlike my 1187 (which I sold)
Pietta's are also very robust for high output shotty's and you can sometimes find them at a reasonable price around the place.

+1 Fabarm, very nice to shoot without the bullshit price tag.

Owned a Fabarm, yes nice and my choice for the gas guns. Owning a Benelli..... Only regret is: I didn't buy it sooner! There is also a reason why the M2 is the 3 gun shotgun of choice......

How much do you want to spend Andy and do you mind a bit of recoil or would you prefer somthing softer than the pump you sold?

That was over 2.5 years ago.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

Ive had a 2hd hand escort12g(hatsan)for nearly 10yrs now and the couple of faults ive struck have been easily remedied in my shed. a lot of my shooting cobbers have gone hi priced ities and spent more on their pet gunsmith ,than ive drunk in piss!and i love my piss
!gadgetman and GSPfollower will attest to my old girl.
me -find a gun that fits you .that you feel comfotable with ,and even if its second hand -give it a trial.
as for shotgun gods -yep seen a few but most believed they could push shit through a straw with their personalities! a couple i respect -they advise but dont badger!

I have a second hand Remington Versamax Tactical, already thrown 350 rounds of all sorts or rounds through in the short time I have owned it and I mean only a few months. Not a single flaw it will shoot what ever I put in it and will shoot as fast as your finger can pull the trigger
