I'd be looking at disputes tribunal or similar. The threat might be enough to get more out of him. Also Name and Shame.

I never got charged by the carrier so that is what is strange...who ships a scope without asking for carriage to be first paid....?

No AMI always been good to us....but I wonder if it was a warranty return rather than new scope ordered will make a difference...

Have emailed him and noted if nothing by Friday then complaint to Queensland police as firearms related object under export permit that did not leave the country, and no carriage documentation (ie scam). Will also engage legal counsel in Brisbane to pursue. Neither idle theats.

    Sorry
But lesson to buy in NZ,
I'd be gutted if my insurance company wasn't covering this.

I don't think that is the lesson per se...using a large reputable insured goods carrier feels like the lesson.

I reckon he's done ya guessing you paid for the scope upfront hes sold it for his profit and is hoping after a few months of trying you'll just go away.. that's what it looks like to me...... is it a credible company or just some guy?

Yeah it sure is... This is a Nightforce F1 warranty repair, organised through retailer then got this guy to do the carriage. He reckons its lost in NZ according to tracking but hasn't sent me tracking. Odd thing was he got me fill out a claim form via another outfit that are his client so guessing they did the leg work. I don't think it is a scam, but at the same time it is messed up. Will google queensland gun forums.
