Love my mk2 Rugers, treat them a bit rough though,( put away wet etc), never a spec of rust .
Have one in 7mmsaum (will post a pic when I finish checkering the stock).
Almost time to head to the range with this one.
    Rebarreled to 22 creedmore . 1 in 7 twist 19".
Weight is 7.5 lbs incl scope.

A report on how the 22CM goes would be good.

In our day they called it a 22.250.

I don't expect there will be any problems with it based on that alone.

If your going to rebarrel, 22 creedmoore 7 twist has advatages over 22.250 but you know that already.

This guy likes them a lot: (skip to 30 min mark where he talks about the Ruger 77's he uses in .308)

Shot my first deer with one of these. Wouldn't mind one of the scout rifles one day.

I’ve had a couple of MK2 Rugers first one was .308 and then a 7mm rem mag both paddle stocks. I now only have one Ruger a 7x57 MK1. Been looking for a paddle stock MK2 in 308 though, should never have sold the 308
