1/7 twist? Have you tried any really heavies through it?
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Here this. 3.4 kgs as pictured ready to rock 'n roll. Decent mag length at 59mm and the trigger is bloody good, in the same class as the Mauser M18 (so a smidge better than a Tikka).

Not yet. It shot my 80gn Sierra "target load" fine but I haven't bothered with 88s or 90s as I run them in a 224 Valkyrie. Cheers

That rifle was born with all the brains but none of the looks
In other words it looks like the ergonomics are awesome and it would be amazing to shoot
But it’s pretty ugly to be brutally honest

Interestingly when you run the numbers 6mm ARC out of a similar length barrel and using a decent bullet like the 108gr ELDM doesn't really seem to do much different to an 80 ELDM out of a 223, very similar energy, velocity, drop and drift out to 400 or 500

This is incorrect and I am wrong - the 6mm holds more energy.

Speed is lower, more drop, similar drift (6mm c.f. 223)

120 gr at around 2400-2500 fps has the grendel in the same space as the parent 7.62x39 and that's no slouch. There may be a bit in it from higher bc due to a longer bullet but ammo cost and availability would make me keep the 223 and maybe get a 7.62.

3 bucks a round for factory match ammo for the 6mm ARC isn't so bad, be a bit slower than you could handload to (factory ammo lower pressure for AR platform, hornady even supplies 2 sets of load data) but worth it if you don't have the gear or want to avoid the admin. 2500 with a 108ELD would be fine for any hunting of any thing in Nz at sensible ranges, when does the factory stainless Howa mini arrive

Hornady are quoting 2750fps with the 108 ELD-M from a 24” tube. That is immense performance from a small cartridge.

I mean if you could get a factory .243 with a 1:8 twist and shoot decent bullets it'd be hard to go past too. 6mm Creedmoor
