It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.
Tried some ammo last week OUT OF BOX shooting:
CCI velocitor: Shoots fine but cannot lock back
CCI standard: Have some failure to eject issue every roughly 30 rounds.
CCI minimag: Could double feed sometimes (every 1 or 2 mags)
I've took gun apart and lube every parts after initial shooting test. I'll try some subsonic ammot this week to see how this beauty shoots.
They have an issue with the mag tab spring in the magazines (not the actual mag spring, the spring for that little tab in the magazine that pops up to hold the bolt back) not being strong enough sometimes to hold the bolt open, especially if the action is dirty or you're using weaker ammo... I think maybe it doesnt retract the bolt hard enough for the tab to have time to fully push the bolt catch up. These rifles are popular in the UK and there is a Facebook group for them, over there they install stronger springs to sort this.

Thanks for your info!
I'm more worried more about the double feeding or jamming as I'm not often shoting velocitor. I saw someone on facebook user group complaining similar thing for their new rifle. Hope it just requires to be broken-in.
Not yet but I'm going to.
what's the name of that group on fb?
We don't have any info about whether we can keep AR lowers and use them with a dedicated upper yet, right?
it will work on any mil spec 22 upper
I personally doubt it. I just can't see them letting milspec lowers in that are capable of being used with a centrefire. Also I have heard they are now paying out for lowers so that kind of answers that question. It may change in time but who knows,.
The Kriss is milspec externally but has a sealed buffer hole, won't take AR mags and the upper has no cut out for a bcg to rotate. Externally it feels like an AR-15...but internally it is not. That's why it was re approved so quickly for import by Police after the ban.
Is the HK416 in .22 an option. I know it's made by Umarex, not HK, but if it's anything like the 5.56, it's a superb rifle to use.
They are supposed to be well made for what they are but they have too many downsides for me.
The trigger is 8lb pull and you can't put aftermarket triggers in them, they use a proprietary design, you can't change out the barrel for a 10/22 one like the Kriss and it uses a proprietary handguard and charging handle.
Also the bolt catch on the side is purely cosmetic, you have to pull the charging handle to release it on last round hold open and it wont close on an empty magazine.
For me I wanted something that felt and functioned like an AR, that I could customise and I could put a nice trigger in, so the Kriss was really the only option that I'm aware of that does all that.
