That thing is a bloody abomination. And the price - Astronomical!

    GODDAMNIT BUBBA!!
@Flyblown , I like to think I'm a relatively experienced hunter mate, but i don't have a sniff on my father! He is an extremely experienced hunter , having used this calibre for a couple years when he was younger (That was in a Rolling block action mind). Thanks for the consideration though - It's not exactly what i would recommend to a New Hunter either!

I have one in wood blued. I'v only shot cattle with it so far but it is not hard or unpleasant to shoot. Main problem I have is it is too beautiful to use. It is an early Marlin in as new condition. By far my nicest rifle.

What did Bubba do? That is obscene.

I have one of these (stainless laminate) high on the wishlist as a rifle to actually use, because they are very practical. 325g projectile at minute of deer to 200m, without too much difficulty. Short and handy and compact. I think a genuinely useful rifle if you got stuck in and just used it. If only I could bring myself to do it.

Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

Ask serious shooters in Auckland as a mate bought one from there recently.
