    Marlin 22 semiauto (60) internals..

Was given a really tidy classic Marlin 49DL shell today - barrel, receiver, tube etc but no bolt or internals.

Wouldn't mind restoring it but haven't got enough bits to do it, Has anyone an old model 60 or action lying around, or know where to get one. Kind of thing a gunsmith will have in that box somewhere....

Lovely old semis and damn good shooters too with CCI:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=marl...afI5srkIHQm0M:

and yes it'd need the tube pinned..

I have a tidy 49DL too. Pity they don't hold open on last shot though.

Thanks guys - have had a closer look at this and its quite a different build to model 60 - though some parts will match.

With 60 you drop off trigger guard, then lift off barrel/receiver with action attached to it. With the 49DL it has a full metal receiver separating wood rifle butt from forestock. And the action is attached to base trigger guard plate - undo trigger guard/bedding screws and the whole thing drops out the bottom. Different mountings, different housing.

Am very unlikely to get a complete 49 action, so Outlander if you want a nice woodwork set and barrel etc as spares you're welcome to it. Woodwork could be tidied up with stripping and few coats of Danish oil, but very nice burr walnut timber. And Muzza thanks for the offer but too many bits needed - get yours into a reclaim meet and get some dollars for it.

    Thanks Mike

Hi mate, that's very generous of you. Mine is still in very good nick and it's sure to outlast me. Thanks for the offer but perhaps the spares would benefit someone else. Cheers.
