Bang on 500 grams with integrated Sako recoil lug, deccelerator pad, and x2 sling studs, this thing is light!
    Attachment 76493

The fully integrated/enclosed barrel channel is nice also, no exposed filler like some carbon stocks, and he was great to deal with!
    T3 style recoil lug.

The fore end is longer and wider than what others offer. The volume of the stock would be a bit closer to a McMillan a3. How heavy is an a3 in carbon?

The A3 Carbon is 870-930 grams which is really where you want it for a big cartridge long range hunting stock,

The factory T3 tikka stock is 790 grams, so not that far from those weights

The general hunting style like the hunter edge stock wants to be around 600 grams

The problem is, the lighter the rifle is the harder it is to easily shoot it accurately so ultimately its a compromise.

That's absolutely true. Too light and it's difficult to shoot off hand accurately. I like a bit of barrel weight for that purpose in my hunting rifles, mine are either #4 or #5 profile. I think we can get too hung up on "weight"

I went and put a few rounds through my rifle yesterday, first chance I have had to actually shoot a group with the T2 on it (it still shoots my load excellent, poi was higher than with the suppressor though) and since I had the ear protection in anyhow I thought I might see how it is with no brake on (have never fired it without brake or suppressor) and yea nah... pretty lively!

They must vary a bit. I was able to weigh an NZ Hunter one recently and it ties in with what Friwi said. Was 594gr including ~100gr of Limbsaver. Definitely not heavy..

Excellent that's what a light weight general purpose hunting stock should weigh

@Tikka7mm08 where did you get yours from? I like the colour. Is the contour of the rear stock the same as factory or is it straighter (less drop off)
