I don't quite think all journos are left leaning, even with the sodding Herald it's purely a business decsion (more workers than bosses in Auckland so tailoring the product to the masses).

However, I would agree the majority are very similar to politicians in that detail is quite boring and doesn't with votes or prizes where a few snappy one-liners chucked together without a lot of thought can really get them some attention. Bit like Chris Gale on live TV (never said anything remotely memorable but the look on the face of the reporter was priceless).
You could also tell She wanted to say Yes.

Cheers
Pete

Phil Goff has a few times publically said he has a FAL and owns firearms.

Well then bingo, this was David Shearer, he had his old MGA outside. Good for him.

Only time I ever saw Norman and Turei, they were in a resort on Waiheke and I was heckling the shit out of them: "gimme back my flaaaaag"

Peters comes into work occasionally, no way those high heels go anywhere near anything rougher than concrete/tarmac.

There was always our good old Trevor De Cleene, aka "Shotgun Trevor". Ah, the good old days.

AK47, M16 guns found in huge South Auckland drugs and firearms bust | Stuff.co.nz

"Auckland police have found a "large number of firearms", including military-assault grade AK47s and M16s, in the ceiling of Takanini house."

military-assault grade, do they have a boggle set with scary words that they throw each time a rifle tuns up?

"military-assault grade" - so these must be full auto, and covered in the blood of insurgents.
Or have I just been reading from the mass media too long :p

I think the threshold for "military-assault grade" is as low as "i have seen a picture of a guy in camo holding one"

wel lIMHO-if the coppers can find who supplied these guys with the armoury before they go into the dock ,someone plays 48hrs of continuous bollocks soccer ,usin their bollocks.
No doubt the judiciary will demonstrate some softcock traits in sentencing so why not soften their nuts to match.
we can respectfully inform the learned judge this is a present from all good honest reliable FAL holders.who are in fact sick&fucking tired of being tarred and feathered due to the behaviour of lowlife self centred death peddlers&wannebe rambos!
gawd im a cheerful prick!
