So from what I make out of all of this is to basically keep the interior warm enough above the due point to stop any condensation?
The light bulb isn't removing humidity, but rather keeping it warm enough to prevent this from happening?
Remove mildew load from safe and rifles, reduce oil use on timber stocks and light bulb/heat source creates airflow /movement are key elements.

I use a good quality furniture wax on my wood stocks , it seals it , you will want the stock to be dry though as it will seal moisture in which you don’t want to do , so summer time probably the time to do it .I use damp rid and have no isuues .
