Mk 5 weatherby bottom metal spring

I have managed to break my magazine spring for my mk 5 weatherby and was wondering if anyone on the forum might have one for sale or suggestions where to beg steal or borrow one . i was hoping to use the rifle in an upcoming wapiti trip in march which is a bummer. Any suggestions would be great.

Do you or any of your friends by chance have similar Weatherby rifles from which you could temporarily take a spring until you obtain a proper replacement ?
Otherwise ask a gunsmith if they have spare springs sitting around that might fit the Weatherby mag and follower.

See if you can find a remington or howa spring and braise it to the floor plate as a temporary or semi permanent fix, you could likely glue the follower to the spring as well.....at least they are fairly common and may actually be pretty close, other option is get one made, if you get 1 made get a few. I had to have a new bottom metal made for my mk v recently as I broke the original being ham fisted it was prohibitively expensive and difficult to find anyone in the states to export parts

Thanks Danny, I tried a howa one already and it is too short unfortunately but might work for a temporary fix the follower is plastic so might be able to glue it i guess. will have a look at other rifles ,see if one might work.

Ask gunsmith Allen Carr, he will probably have many mag springs.

Size: 127.8 KB It doesn't need to be stainless steel i suspect that is why it broke in the first place.
Let me know if you need more information and payment.

A good engineer could weld that without rooting temper of spring.
