Thread: Mount/Rings for scope on Zastava M70

First it was Winchester 70 or Remington 700.
But instead I got a deal on Zastava M70 PS .308 so I bought it as my first big game rifle.

Anyhow, now I have to buy and mount a scope.
Budget is up to $500 max with something along the lines of 3-4x40mm or 3-9x50mm. I see leupold VX I and Bushnell Elite are ok for the budget both are with 1inch tubes (any other recomendation welcomed).

But I am not sure what mount and rings to get? Is there any specific ones for this gun that are compatible with its measurements?

Email reloaders telling them what rifle you hve they hould be able to sort out the bases

If.the zastava takes the same.rings as a mod 70 I've got some spare .

Not sure what sort of rings it can take.
I've emailed Reloaders (thanks toby) and they can get zastava bases for $30 which takes weaver rings....
I might go with that tho not sure of the specifics, big/high/low etc....Might check guncity and see what they've got.
