Saw tthe problem with ejected cases demonstrated on youtube (of course!) Can't recall the rifle or the scope, but he solved it by screwimake enogh ng the cap onto the turret, then bevelled the bottom edge of the cap with a file. Looked ugly as 2 dogs fucking, but it worked, and no, he didn't go right through and make a hole. But it DID create enough clearance for the cases to eject without deflecting back into the port.
Used to be a fine wine - now I'm vinegar.

This is one mounted on my old ftr rig.

Rings are Burris XTR mediums on savage bases above a very thick 1 inch barrel. As you can see there's heaps of room.
    What is the stock called?

Choate ultimate sniper or something similar.
Personally wasn't the biggest fan of it.

I will try some talley lows and mediums to see which works best for me, will also glue and lap them. Do you have the same ejection issue as mentioned by RWT at all ?
Come to think of it I may have had lows as well. Now have the 34mm talleys with no problems.

Heres the only pic I could find with the old scope. Name: rifle.jpg

If you do look at the rail ring option I have a set of Burris XTR 30mm Medium rings for sale. Not the lightest but they are ally so it's not terrible.

Ive got the same set up rem 700 and 6-24 sightron Ive put a egw rail and night force rings med
Scopes perfect for long range glass is clear and dials perfectly.
I can remove scope and stick in pack for rough travel keeps zero when fitted back on.
And makes rifle easy to carry.
    Stay off the ridgeline.
The only good assumption is to assume that movement, shape, colour, sound, is always human. Follow this rule and identify your target.
