Looking at doing a similar 6.5 build myself later on this year, most probably 6.5creedmore/260rem.

Mag length is 2.990 I wouldn’t go down the creed way myself as the 260 gets the speed the same and better imo. Speak to @camo wsm he will sort you a action.

Nice rig and impressive numbers for a 260, still got 1000f/lb at 800m. I wouldn’t bother with a 6.5CM ether.

Hay mate so far the cost to me for the rifle less scope is around $4830. Cheaper and more refined then a sako carbon lite and more of a personal thing. sakos and tikka are like bellybuttons everyone has one

Wow, love that build, everything I would have except cal (have 2 already). I sure do like those actions and have nearly had my arm twisted into one.... That speed is phenomenal, I struggle with a 260AI and RL17. The extra long seating depth is clearly playing its part well.

Seating depth isn’t as far out as you would expect. Seat at o.a.l of 2.900 5 thow jump

Seating depth doesn't play a big part in velocity. If you create extra case space by long throating, then generally you have to add more powder to equal the pressure of the standard throat load, thus no extra gain in velocity, just more powder burnt.

True, I just ran same load in QL at 2.820 COL and 2.990 COL - it made a difference. @dale what load are you using?

Bix N Andy Triggers
Manners EH-8 Stocks
Lone Peak Rails and Recknagel rings.
Leupy VX-6 1-6 and 2-12 respectively...

Estimating not quite as light as you bout 2.9kg bare with 2B barrel... like yourself happy to put the weight in that, hopefully pays off..
