Any updates on the load d?
I've only been able to get out once so far.

I fired 7 rounds thru it end of last week.

A 5 shot Ladder test at 100 yards, then 2 extra rounds in middle of the ladder at 300 yards.

87 and 88 gr went in one hole at 100 yards, no signs of pressure at all at 88gr. 88gr gave 3080 fps. Round edge still on primer no stiff bolt or marks on case head etc.

The two 86gr rounds shot a fraction over 1 inch at 300 yards, but I'm thinking it's going to like 87-88 gr far better from the ladder results.

I've got the rounds loaded up for the 2nd stage and hope to shoot them tomorrow over the chrony at 300 yards.

I was hoping to find accuracy somewhere between 3050 and 3100 without having to push it hard. Which from the 7 shots fired so far it looks like I will be right in there.

Looking forward to group testing at 300 and es testing this next lot of rounds.

Nice mate! I reckon around 3,100fps is a pretty good speed for the 195's. Makes good use of the available case size.

My brother and I both have 7mmFX's (7mm-338 Lapua Improved) which have a chunk more capacity. Just finished swapping from the 195's to 180's in my brother's FX. The 195's weren't surviving the speed (3,250fps) and compared to what we can push the 180's (3,440fps in mine) at very comfortably, the 195's weren't giving any advantage...

Yeah I think 3100 won't be too hard at all, I've loaded 5 rounds at 88.5gr to test too I'm picking they'll be just north of 3100.

I'm also expecting things to speed up a bit once it has a few more rounds thru it, most normally need to back the load off a bit to keep same velocity/node after break in.

I do have a couple of boxes of 180 eldm's to also try. I'll stick with whichever shoots the best.

I don't think animals will know the difference. And the numbers on the 180's look better which is odd eh.

Love that high tech rear bag. anything around or north of 3000fps with the 195s is going to get you a loooooong way down range.

I had a good session at the range yesterday with the 28.

A bit of group testing at 300 with the 195 bergers to fine tune the powder charge.

Then shot the last two rounds (at top end of powder weights) at 400 yards.

They printed just over an inch apart, (.27 moa) and fair flinging along at 3175 fps, still no signs of excess pressure at all.

But i dont really need it that fast and its just as accurate down at 3080, so will look to run it there and hopefully get better brass and barrel life.

Now to fine tune the seating depth. I've only fired 26 rounds so far, so happy with progress at this point.
