man...Im considered agricultural, when it comes to working with metal....some have suggested I would be cruel to a crowbar...but holy smoke Batman....there is no way in hell a botchup like that would be acceptable on a rifle worth more than my motorcar....
I really do hope Greg can come along and give his side of story and with luck sort some type of resolution...its a shit sammie now its out in open.lets hope it can be sorted.

    I think thats fair.
I would point out that as far as I am aware Greg is not a gunsmith and farms the work out to various "suppliers".

Personally I think they let him down multiple times BUT as the business who sold me the gun then did the fix ups the buck stops with him as far as I am concerned.
I did not return the gun last time it failed as I had had enough of the excuses and delays and I simply no longer trust him.

He essentially told me it was my fault for any number of reasons, which given I am not a gunsmith and have never worked on the gun is interesting.
Also it now is back to shooting the load he developed and extracting without issue, unlike before. Only thing that has changed is the bolt which is as far as I am aware the only thing "his guys" messed with.

As far as I am concerned I had to pay a 3rd party to rectify an issue I did not cause or make when I should not have had to do so.
If I had not done so then my expensive custom gun was only good for a tomato stake all be it a designer one!

As I said shit happens but its how you deal with it that keeps a customer for life or otherwise.

And given this has been on going for a long time and until now I have not posted the story............... I think I have been fair. I would still like to think people stand behind their work and their word.

Well bugger me, I haven't been on here for a while & look at this bun fight even brought on of the forum big dawgs out'a his bed to comment

Brads is 100% correct, the justice of the NZHS court system can be an evil & very one sided system, we all love to jump on people & "socmed" is the worse - oh yes people this forum is socmed whether you like it or not hahahahahaha sorry

I've meet Mikee ( he's a gc ) & had correspondence with him regarding this issue, I also know Greg & would call him a mate, like all friendships the rules are never get girls or money involved & your'e be fine'n'dandy, while I've never had the displeasure of putting up with Greg's sloppy seconds, I have had him build / sort a few rifles & generally Greg has done an awesome job, I still have two Terminator rifles that I truly love

But like with all relationships it's not always smooth sailing & on my last build things went a little pear-shape, these things happen but it never seems to be at a good time & one thing I've learnt in my live is everything is about timing. My personal experience was I ordered a rifle that I wanted at the time to suit a purpose, these things don't pop out'a a magic machine so took a fair while to get sorted, cost me many $$$$$ to get built & buy the time it turned up, I didn't really know if I wanted it ( I can be like that ) then it didn't fit me with it's shit arse over priced chassis & it shot like a 500 trade me hack not a 10k rail gun, Greg sorted the problem & reimbursed me for the reloading / freight etc but by that stage I'd got the shit's with it & ended up giving it away.

Now that wasn't KG's fault I hated it or felt like a dick for spending all my hard earned & meant for elsewhere dollars ( like IRD ), he's a business man. But it did fuck me off & recently when I saw that rifle pop back up on here for sale spewing about what a great gun it was, I finally lost my rag & spat the dummy about it. I came across as looking like a proper cunt ( with plenty of backlash ) but fuk I felt better with getting it out in the open.

Mikee, I hope you feel better now that you've vented mate, I know I did. But fuk it only cost you $1000 I lost $$$$$$$ but that's the custom gun game, we live, we learn & we all do it again hahahahaaa

Now it's fixed, just go shoot & it enjoy it mate
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

Your point is taken and fair enough........I expect to take a bath on a custom gun but I also expect it to WORK as it should. Greg DIDN't sort it unlike you, the first or third time!!

I have had 3 Terminator Guns, still have 2 including one built on the cheap that has fired thousands of rounds, there will never ever be another from them.
I'm pretty easy going which is why I guess where its at but I don't give second chances!
All that had to happen was a simply "sorry and it will be sorted and actually do it" why is that so hard for some?

I don’t think I would risk building a custom rifle. I know of too many builds that have gone pear-shaped so I just stick with decent factory rifles.

I remember reading a forum post many years ago where a guy burnt a lot of cash on a couple of custom long range rifles. His conclusion was that in the end, he would’ve been better of buying a T3 7mm mag, and slapping on a nightforce and muzzle brake. He would’ve saved a lot of money and achieved the same accuracy

Everyone should buy tikka 270s and silver VX1s. Then the world would be a happy place.

Yes because they would actually work and if not then Hunting and Fishing would sort it (I can't believe I said that)

Actually the words "Sorry" from the supplier would have worked too!!

Here’s the answer. Since duelling with pistols is not allowed the only answer is both parties meet up for a fist fight (ufc rules allowed). The bout must be filmed. And the winner either has to front up, or fu$k up!!

    Bets taken.

It's always a bit of a gamble/risk taking a step into the custom built rifle world I've seen some really nice ones and some total disasters one thing that comes into play as I've found with building engines and cars for people is they get this idea of what they want ask you to build it this way and after listening to what they want you try and explain to them the risks of doing it that way ad it either wont work or your building a hand grenade and suggest something that will work but they insist on doing it their way so you go ahead with their instructions and hello it doesn't work or didn't even make it through the run in then for some reason it's my fault not saying its the case here but it does happen

@mikee , glad you got it finally sorted, a shame the experience and enjoyment of getting something special turned into a disappointment and negative event.
Lest you can move on now without this in the background.
