MYSTERY EN-BLOC CLIP? Test your knowledge here!

Can anyone identify this weird en-bloc clip or whatever the hell this is? It's roughly the same size as a carcano en-bloc, it ain't a steyr straight pull (note the catches are on the side and not the rear) and to be honest it has me scratching my head.

I thought that too when I bought it but after comparison the mannlicher clips have raised protrusions at the rear and lock at the rear. This one has raised protrusions/catches on both sides.

I have tried to fit 8x56r in it (same rim size as all those mannlicher straight pull rounds I believe) and it is too large by about 1.5mm

Apparently its an insert that fits inside the 8x56r clips to allow the 7.92x57 round to be used in the Yugoslav M95M conversions. They go for good $$$ on ebay.
