I reckon the browning tbolt mate, mine shoots amazing and the thing is lightning fast. It’s light too.

Otherwise a second hand Anschutz would be the go.

Are you after bolt or semi ?

Bolt gun wise Tikka T1 or Lithgow are both excellent new factory options.

If you can get a 2nd hand Anschutz 1416 GRAB IT !

    Tikka T1x, cz457, browning T bolt.
Sometime this year we will see the new bergara bmr. I think this will be a nice option as it takes the rem700 triggers
you could also look at upgrading a 1022
    Carbine and ebf like this.

Yeh but flashing up a 10-22 is like getting a Harley.. Might as well buy something that comes sorted from the get-go

Nah you make one out of parts, most of the 10-22 parts are fine. Either fixing or replacing the trigger is the most important move then the barrel.

Reloaders' CZ 455 "Wasp Edition". 400 bucks cheaper than everywhere else.

    other wise go with T1x.

If you read Rimfire Central, 457's barrel quality is too inconsistent.

upgrading 10/22 is pointless, if you want a good 10/22 just get a Kidd for ~2300 or a Ruger Target Lite for half that and upgrade the trigger to KIDD 2-stage.

competition seems to be of good specs. I wouldnt buy it because, first it, the stock is ugly as sin and look cheap. Secondly, it is priced too close to full custom gun but you still end up with just a (better)ruger factory cold forged barrel and bx1 trigger. Whereas custom barrels are button rifled and some are hand lapped. I personally would not bother with bx1

Yes they shoot very well and are a big step up over a standard 10/22.

    What ammo are you using?
Chances are the ammo is the limiting factor in your accuracy if you are using hunting ammo.

I love my T1x the 16" version is great if using a silencer.
I shoots nice tight groups with CCI Standard velocity under 70m, but once you push out to 100m the groups open up very quickly.

Hunting ammo is considerably less accuracy than CCI Standard and good quality target ammo is considerably better in most cases
