It'll be an existing 7mm magnum case loaded with a light weight mono projectile, which in turn will need a fast twist barrel.

I have more confidence federal will produce something better than the hornady marketing machine, at least federal generally walk the talk when it comes to factory ammo performance.

7prcw in a factory rifle would’ve been better than a hotrod

That would be funny if they were cutting the grass from under hornady’s feet

Yup the fastest 7mm basically means something with a large case shooting a mono would be my guess.

Shows what market they are targeting- Boomers (those who think ballistics means light bullet big cartridge, big boom go fast- GUD )

Their faces when someone gets better results with a slower cartridge shooting better bullets

High pressure steel case shooting up to a 195gr bullet. 3300fps-3000fps depending on weight and it’s a 20” barrel. It’s going to flop and take away from production of popular cartridges that are hard to come by during an ammo crunch.

    Some more details- '7mm Backcountry'

    https://gununiversity.com/7mm-backcountry-review/

Sounds even worse than the 6.8 Western...

A factory load like this is appealing for people like me that don't reload!

If the 7saum had available factory ammo here in nz i would have bought one of the ones for sale on here in a heartbeat
