Funny az that no one actually got the point of my initial post

THE 7PRC was meant to be a 3k fps FACTORY set n forget cartridge thats full on bullshit, it's miles slower & not close with hand loads

OK so me "mavage" is only 22" but with a full length can so pretty much up to 24 pressure, I've tried a shit load of different bombs n powder non have got close to the sales pitch - specs

Latest 140 BT's , probably a slow burning powder for these pills but fuk me according to Horns load data these things should be smokin

74g 2225 outta a 22" tube with ba full lenght mag can @ 125 yards

Average 3227fps shot well though, be great for Wallabies & Fallow

Yeah, it's disappointing when the new stuff falls short. Guess sticking with the classics is the safer bet for now.

Well don't write the cartridge off yet. There's apparently an article coming out soon on just that.

Nothing the 7 Rem Mag wouldn't do or the 7saum would with 10 grains less powder and 4 inch shorter barrel!

WTF do you think Im doing, as I've said repeatedly the 7prc is a dog, not even full charge handloads are getting any where near the performance it was hyped to be.

I haven't got any RL26 ( which seems to be the bizzo with PRC's ) as you know Greg

I was just running 2217 & 2225, I might of tried 2213sc but can't remember, will have to have a look at my data

What's your seating depth? The manufacturers may have deliberately cut the throat a bit shorter to make sure the factory loads were just touching the lands (boosting the chamber pressure).

Well in the case of some of the old firebreathers like the 264 win mag, slower the better.
RL33 is meant to be very good for it.
    Maybe that or possibly H1000?
Or is the capacity not quite big enough?
