New Baikal 121 Single Shot out

I have a fair few of the old model & like them, a lot of rifle for the money, I see guys complain on the scope mounting & the trigger, well the new ones fix that, shoot & look better even !

Baikal site seemed to imply 308 only at this stage.

I think I'd buy one, after all their predecessor was a bloody good rifle, not that expensive, and usually shot well.

Yeah I had an 18MH in 243, happily did 3/4 inch groups at 100m all day long.

Got the same in .223 & 12 gauge, awesome for $400 brand new....also break-down easily to put in pack....
While I might not be as good as I once was, Im as good once as I ever was!

I have two 18MH both on loan to friends and am having trouble getting them to cough them back up.
Cheap, sturdy, shoot well and pack down.Plus if my truck shits an axle I have a couple of spares.
The stock looks like a definite improvement on the new model.

    looks nice
Do you really need a muzzle break on a 308 ?

Would have thought the barrel would have been shorter on a gun like this. Personally, I can't stand the look of open sights with a suppressor (or muzzle break?). Fortunately both problems easily solved.

Doesn't look good for us getting them just yet as seem to be only in Russian all the info, darn it !

Here is a very good review of the 121 rifle in comparison to the IZH-18 - MP-18, unfortunately in Russian but you get the idea when he does a side by side .

Interesting, very clever how they have altered the trigger/sear/ hammer geometry to give the "chance" of a very nice trigger

I saw that, but I don't trust some of that stuff, on one site it said the old MP-18 were in 9.3X74 & 45/70, never did see one of them & can't see them doing a 9mm & 380 pistol rounds in one ?
