    NEW Choice Torch New Zealand

I was lucky enough to spend the week trialing a series of torches recommended to me by Choice Torch a new New Zealand based specialty torch sales website.

Not only did they have a range of torches that i had experience with like Xtar but they also had other i had never worked with before.

Pricing and torch type selection varies widely depending on the application that its required for.

The great thing about Choice Torch is that they have done all of the grunt work with varying companies to choose the best of the bunch to sell.

For our particular scenario we took two small handhelds for Sika shooting (utility at night also track finding).

Sunwayman Thunder Hammer C21C and the smaller Sunwayman V11r. Both had exceptional beam strength and adjustable intensity along with a strong construction and good battery life.

On the second hunt we worked some private land by spot light. Using a standard light force as comparison to the BTU Shocker Super Thrower i was truly amazed by the strength of the beam on high power mode. This torch lasted the required time for an evenings lighting with more energy to go. this torch would have been significantly better that the standard light force for the job and maybe only shown up by the light force HID hardwired to the 4x4. This unit was perfect for beating the feet across the hill hide looking for the pesky poss, with no wires or extra load to carry. the Light force also packed a shit when the terminals fried. the BTU kept charging at 3500 lumens!!! serious long beam power.

I also carried a Sunwayman T45C as a secondary, it looked a bit like a light sabre however this this was a beast of a torch at nearly 1000 lumens. this was plenty enough to spot light in its own rights and all of these torches appeared to be very affordable.

I am traditional in my gear usage and mostly have relied on Silva and LED Lenser however I need to say i fully endorse Choice torch as a shopping spot for your next purchase.
