Yeah, have seen and heard of enough Swaros fogging to keep away, I use my optics everyday, reliability and clarity is everything..............
Like a mechanic that uses top quality tools, cheapo stuff will do the job, but for pro use, I can justify the extra $$$.
Joe average will be just fine with Nikon etc.

So what did you get yours for then? No doubt there will be deals to be had on the Leicas to.
Can't say, as a forum member sourced and sorted them for me.
Still, quite a bit cheaper than $2995 us
Would have grabbed a set of leicas if I knew about them because everything swaro I have had, has fogged.
But happy so far and have ranged way past what I will ever shoot.
Glass is amazing.

Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.
This is the first iv heard of swaro fogging. Is it just binos or scopes as well? That would really rip my nighty paying the big bucks and having it fog up.

Looks promising... Using the same data the calculator is within 1 click (0.1 mil) of shooter out to 1000m for the load I ran through it. Will try a couple others to see how they compare as well. Only thing I can't seem to change is the sight height?
Edit to add: Tried a couple more with much the same result...

If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more
Had a look thru them yesturday , very impressive , the only let down is thier ballistic calc will only go to 1000 yet it ranges to 2000
Another small bugger is/could be the beam size
It appears to be twice the size of the CRF 1600 & old Geovids.......much bigger than the Swaro.....
Still a lot smaller than the G7 one so it may not be such an issue.
Beam size shouldn't be over looked, it is what makes the PLRF10 so great
My research so far, I can't be absolutly sure of the sizes but here they are for what they are worth.
Beam divergence, milliradians
EL Range – 1.5 x 0.5
Laser Guide ?
Zeiss Victory RF’s 1.6 x 0.5
G7 2 x 4
PLRF05 2.4 x 0.4
PLRF10 1.3 x 0.3
PLRF15 2.0 x 0.5
CRF1600 2.5 x 0.5
The OLD Geovid’s 2.5 x 0.5
The NEW Geovid 2.7 x 1.0
