    New model Swarvo Z5, 2.4x12 x50

Just finished mounting a new scope to the 9.3x62 as previous cheap scope didn't last with heavy recoil,
Precision optics suppled a Z5, 2.4x12 with a Ballistic turret and 4W for a heck of a good price, as well as low rings and mounts.
I've got two other Z5 and always thought, that that model need a lower power scope,
Just finished mounting this morning, on my Sako, Name: IMG_1797.JPG

Nice. Looks shorter than the other z5s? Which was the one thing that annoyed me about them

I spoke to a swaro rep and he reckons it is going to kill off the z3 4-12x50 because it is not much more but a better scope

Yea it is by quite a bit, 335mm length, I never get a 3x18 to fit inside the rear blade, with out having to mount back, risking a scope kiss, esp on a 9.3x62 with moderate heavy recoil.

I think your right, I payed $1322 CAD(list is 1450) plus 5% tax, and shipping and the last Z3 3x12x50 I paid 1050 plus 5% tax. lot more scope for 20% more.

Southern man, Maybe a silly question, but the advantages over the z3, 4W, BT in the 4-12 are? Apart from the obvious low end magnification.

Personally I wish they would do it with a X42 mm objective.

Better glass coatings/ glass. full life time wty, (Z3 is limited lifetime ten years I think) lower power, the 3x18 is 44 mm I would have thought that, rather than a 50 as then wouldn't need to grind new lenz, as the 5x25 is 52mm, hopefully swarvoski expand the Z5 line up further 2x10x44 would suit a lot of application's.
I find a very noticeable difference, between my Z3 and Z5 scopes in low light.
jakewire and Moa Hunter like this.
