@No.3, tikka t3, Sako 85, blaser , sauer , desert tech and many custom action makers have their tolerances so clause that you can swap bolts or bolts heads with out any headspace issues.

@Friwi yep, I've done it with No3 .303 bolts and Savage as well but for a US based company if anything were to go wrong the first question would be "did you test the bolt and firearm before you advised it was safe?" - and that only goes one way. You might be able to do it, and all safety checks are OK but the point is no US manufacturer would advise it's OK just on liability...

They look like a massive leap forward for a factory gun.

Good to see they have someone in production who is a shooter / hunter.

Fingers crossed they nailed modern twist rates

Can't wait to get my hands on one!
    Warm Barrels!

I think that all modern rifle actions suffer poor machining and finish and are overpriced relative to the quality of other machined items. Take bearings for example - beautiful self aligning paired roller races and perfectly matched tapered rollers, and they cost bugger all. Rifle actions are shit in comparison. The Mannlicher-Schoenauer M1903 is of the standard that all rifles should be at now imo. Barrels have got better but action design, finish and function are lagging. I dont expect this Rem to be any better finished

Rifle actions are, from a functional standpoint, glorified door latches.

So long as you can feed, fire and extract a case reliably, that is all you need. Add a good trigger and optics mounting solution (picatinny rail) and you are sorted.

Well there is one more possible up side to this one is if they do their short action to fit the PRC they will be at least 3 inches in mag lenght which would be a whole lot better than the 2.8 of the previous short action .
