Why don't you just get the leupold VX3 4.5x14x 40 or 50, LR 30mm tube, it has side focus, forget about the CD Turret and get M1 Turrets on the windage and elevation
Should work perfectly out to 600yrds, [ and beyond], and it won't break the bank.

The 3-18 VX6 with CDS should be here before xmas this year.

Utill I can find a Chinese or Arab buyer for one (or two) of my children this most probably will be the short term choice if a VX6 comes out as Andrew suggests, but M1 turrets? Been there done that. Shite of an idea IMO for a hunting rifle (have them on a Mk4, plus have you seen them on a VX3. They look so dorky).
Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16 x 42?
I ended up with a Z5 Swaro 3.5-18x44BT-4W. So far vrey nice just don't hve arifle to put it on
I am having the same problem deciding on a scope James. I am keen on a March and work in Aus so shouldnt have to many problems aquiring one but they have gone up by $200 Aus for the one I wanted.
I am not keen on too fine a reticle unless it can be illuminated as they are too hard to use in the bush.
The new loopys coming out sound interesting?
Every swaro scope a mate and I have had has fogged so I am shy on those.
Whats gay about the hunting turrets on the March Adam?Whats the diff from your model?
