Exactly. It's a cheap basic rifle.

I like the more open ejection port, as the T3 one is annoyingly small. ONE of the reasons I own a 595.
The fancy adjustable stock? - something more to break
The recoil pad? - maybe better than having to buy a limb saver.
    Quiet stock? yeah maybe.

Apart from that cant really see a lot of improvements but maybe the ejection port would be enough for me.

H&F? typical NZ retailer who thinks they can rout us...

They could glue boxing gloves onto hunters hands haha. My T3 bolt takes a hard squeeze and pretty much 2 hands to take out. It's never come out on its own

Difficult when you have a rifle sold in such high numbers, I guess they could screen people so that less idiots who don't know how to stop the bolt from falling out end up owning one!

I have a suspicious the people loosing their Tikka bolts are the ones that like doing the classic kiwi "half cock" method, I lost a couple of rounds of ammo doing this and decided it was not for me as I was too miserable to go dropping ammo around the place

It's all a bit "Meh"for me.... I was hoping for something a little, well, more?.... It's like upgrading your 97 Toyota Corolla for the 98 Version.... I guess though it is a Tikka so it was never gonna be anymore than that? That's why they have Sako.

But if you upgraded a Toyota corolla you would still have quality
